Hi, I’m Jason
I'm an independent product and UX strategy consultant based in Brooklyn. For more than 20 years I've helped organizations work out what to build and why, then helped their teams get it shipped.
I started in theater and computer animation, which taught me that every experience is a story with an audience. That's still how I approach the work: start with the people, find the story, then design the structure that tells it.
I led design for broadcast production tools at BBC Technology, including ESPN's first HD production facility and the launch of Getty Images' footage library. I ran UX teams at Schematic, where we designed Nokia's first mobile app store, and at Funny Garbage, where we built Cartoon Network's watch-and-play app and the Smithsonian's Ocean Portal.
Since then I've consulted for clients like Red Hat, Deloitte, Verizon, AssetMark, BNY Mellon, Moody's, and S&P, both independently and with Behavior Design and Orion Innovation. Most recently I set UX strategy at Farm Credit Services of America, where a new multi-brand web experience became a cited factor in a multi-association collaboration.
Today I work as Delight Factor, helping teams in financial services, enterprise software, media, and education turn complexity into products people actually use.
